Betty the Bunny – Crochet (a not so secret love of mine)

Hey everyone. Hope you’re all doing well today?

I thought I might take this opportunity to show you another love of mine which may feature on my blog from time to time…

…. CROCHET!

Betty the Bunny is my latest creation, and I am absolutely in LOVE with her little pink dress and shoes (how cute are they?!)

Pattern:

I followed the online pattern for the Dress Me Bunny by Sharon Ojala at www.amigurumitogo.com. As someone who has only done a few amigurumi projects before, I would definitely recommend using this pattern. It was such an easy pattern to follow and to make it even better, Sharon has an online tutorial on Youtube.

Yarn:

I used 3 x 50g balls of Drops Eskimo yarn in the colour Off White (the body), and 1 x 50g balls of Drops Eskimo yarn in the colour in Old Pink (the dress and shoes). This is my go-to yarn and is 100% wool with a recommended hook size of 9mm. I haven’t yet mastered the art of keeping the tension tight so I decided to use a 7mm hook instead to make sure there would be no loose stitches.

I am so excited to share Betty with you, and I really hope you love her as much as I do! If you’re a fellow crocheter who does amigurumi, do you have any tips you can share with me? I’d love to hear some feedback!

Until next time…
